Physiotherapy

People often wonder if physiotherapy is the right treatment for them. But here is a simple criteria to follow:
Musculoskeletal disorders are injuries or pain in the body's joints, ligaments, muscles, nerves and tendons.
Therefore, if you are in pain in any of these structures, or struggle to do an activity - then physiotherapy will help you.

Laura qualified from the University of Plymouth with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2021 and has gained experience of working in the NHS in acute, community and musculoskeletal outpatient settings in and around Exeter, treating a range of conditions. Her passion for musculoskeletal physiotherapy evolved from her 16 year background in the fitness industry, along with her passion for dance since childhood. Furthermore, she received a distinction in the Complete Bodywork Diploma in Massage in 2016, which is a skill that she regularly draws on when treating patients. Laura is also currently working part time as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist at a clinic in Honiton. Laura is caring and keen to provide the best possible care to her clients and is always learning new skills to enhance her knowledge base. Prior to becoming a Physio, she was a primary school teacher for 12 years, mainly working with key stage one children and was always heavily involved in the physical education side of her teaching role. You may also recognise her from the gym! She has been teaching fitness classes throughout Exeter for 16 years in various different programmes and currently still teaches at David Lloyd. She loves anything fitness related and regularly trains at a local gym. Outside of physio Laura spends as much time as possible with her 2 children, Lola and Sonny. Laura is warm, approachable and enthusiastic and is keen to make patients feel safe and supported throughout their rehab.
